today was good! had breakfast with the parents, lunch with yahui :) , shopping with jeh and church :) haha i've never actually been shopping in baby stores like today before..my sister was buying a baby shower present for her friend and was tossing random items into my arms..i felt quite conspicuous walking around holding baby bottles etc. but its so nice looking at all the baby products! haha not that i have any interest in becoming a mother anytime soon..but its just nice stuff to look at. toys, power strollers (i had no idea strollers cost so much!), cots, cribs, sheets, cute little shirts/dresses/socks. how come i didn't get all this nice stuff when i was a baby? :( hahah.

so yes today was a happy day. i was actually quite down the other day..attended a wake, so i was already not in high spirits to begin with..then my phone got stolen on the way to the wake :( i wasn't thinking too much about it during the memorial service, but then when i got home i was just sad about the day in general. to make matters worse, when i called to cancel my SIM card, i learned that the evil evil person who'd snatched my hp had made a few overseas calls already, which i now have to pay for. aargh. well lesson learnt. since that day, i've been clutching my bag tightly to my chest everywhere i go...just be careful people! especially on crowded mrts.

about the wake. its heartening to see how strong people can be during these times. i wonder if i would have dealt with the same situation with the same resolve. after i got home, i felt like just running to my mum and giving her a hug. anyway, i've gotten a new sim card (with the same number) ! spent quite abit of money this time back home..new camera, new phone! and air tickets have gone way up too :( darn rising fuel prices.
