aahh. feeling very satisfied now with our dinner at pancakes at the rocks :) hehh. although i'm feeling very sleepy now with my full stomach..wanted to work on my music assignment but think i'll just do that tmr.

sigh. was quite annoyed with my music tutor today cos she only announced today how she wanted a particular part of the assignment done..when i've already done about 80% of the assignment in the way she originally outlined it in the guidelines! haha and don't blame me for being muggerish and doing it ahead of time..its due in a few days and most of the class expressed similar sentiments for being in the same situation. we were all quite peeved..but oh well. shouldn't complain. should just do it.

today's class was rather interesting..we were listening to and analyzing several popular classical works..i've always just listened to a piece and thought to myself "good/bad, nice/boring, happy/sad"..haha its cool to discern reasons why a certain composer chooses to write a piece in a particular way..nothing is done randomly! its all planned from the start. i like the idea that every song has a story :) even without any lyrics..we may listen to something without knowing the little hidden meanings and thoughts the composer put into the piece..but if we do it all just ties in so nicely and the song suddenly has new meaning to you. and i think its cool how i have trouble understanding my tutor when she simply first explains something in words, but then when she illustrates her explanations by playing it or allowing us to listen to the piece it suddenly all becomes clear. its like it all just comes to you in a sudden rush and i think "oh wow i get that." :)

on an entirely unrelated issue, clinton won the Pennsylvania primaries..hmm i admit i'm sort of rooting for obama..although i think this time's election really is interesting..it'll be a first time for the US presidential position either way..a woman or a black? haha not that i have anything against a woman being a president..i just can't understand how clinton could have pushed for the Iraq war. hmmmm.
