that time of the year is here again!! christmas... i like:) elmo, cookie monster, bert and ernie were singing of their joy for the season at taka the other day. hmm. i don't know why..but i always thought that elmo would be alot smaller than cookie monster. hahha but they're both cute!
then we went singing tooo! haha here's xinli belting out a lovely tune to me..awww. :)
and here's cindy in her typical singing pose. haha she says she sings best in this position. personally my thighs would kill me..but each to her own:)
it seems that almost every other song is about unrequited love..or breaking up..or finding that perfect person. is that all life is about? the romantic love that we yearn for? i guess its just a topic that's emphasized in movies & music..sure it can make us happy:) but there's definitely more to life right. anyway, who am i to talk about love? what matters is that we're happy right:)
haha anyway this is out of point, but i realise that when i first listen to a song, what i listen to is the melody and background music, rather than the lyrics..so even if a song has crappy lyrics, it can still appeal to me if there's a nice piano part or an impressive drummer. i only listen to the words after the music has sunk in, unless the words really touch me or reach out to me..haha with chinese songs, it obviously takes even longer..haha there were so many little gaps here and there in my singing cos i couldn't read so many of the chinese words! booo. but i am learning! haha cindy and xinli were impressed with my increased library of chinese songs. guess i have someone to thank for that:)
hmm. somehow presence makes absence more evident.
