Just received abit of shocking news..was on the phone with my sister and she was updating me about her week..one of her close friends died in childbirth on thursday. I never knew her well but I talked to her on a number of occasions..even sang in the church choir with her before..and she was so excited about the baby coming. Its just sad cos everyone looks forward to the coming of a baby, but then instead of the arrival of a new life, one is taken away.

And it's times like these that I wonder why such things have to happen. It just seems cruel somehow..Everything was going normally.. she had a near-perfect pregnancy up till the moment of childbirth. I mean, everyone knows about the dangers of childbirth, but you somehow never think it could happen to you, or to someone you know..Fortunately the baby came out weak but still alive as of now:)
