this first week of school has been interesting..in this course, the year 1s have same classes as the year 2s..its a bit weird at first cos they obviously know a lot more than the year 1s..i'm not really sure what the point of joining batches though..so we're working on the same assignments and projects as them..

but classes and lectures have been interesting so far..we've been doing dna and inheritance this week..learning qt a lot of interesting stuff..i feel that this semester is a lot more serious than the first 2 months..everyone seems to be working harder already..perhaps its the influence of the year2s..because this second year is a lot more important to them..I've already got group projects and assignments due..this first week of school passed by pretty quickly..

anyway, I visited a nursing home today!Kristine (this really nice girl who visits creston often) goes to the nursing home every week to visit the old folks there, so I tagged along with her this week:) the nursing home takes care of mainly demented old people with mental problems..all the patients I saw today had problems talking and moving..we were talking to them but they couldn't exactly respond..some would murmur back while others weren't able to respond at all..I felt quite sad after the whole visit actually..sad that there were so many people who didn't have people to take care of them and sad that they had to live with these conditions..

The meals today were weird..Carmella, our normal cook, has been sick all week..so we've had our meals cooked by a temporary chef..for lunch we had spinach pastries..and for dinner we had hotdog buns with hamburger patties and beetroot and pineapple :P haha quite a weird combination..hmm wonder what weird foods we'll be eating tmr..

Don't know why I've been feeling down for no particular reason this week..maybe its the whole idea of starting school again..but then again its not like I'm hating classes now..sigh dunno..

nolly: noelle!!good luck for your exams..yep yep I've gotta start mugging too now..well I'm slowly adapting but time still seems to be crawling by..when u going back to singapore?
