Everything just feels very shakey right now.
-Already paid the deposit for my school fees, but it takes them 72 hours to process the payment. So I'm on hold until they receive the money then I can continue the acceptance procedure. So I'm actually not even officially accepted. -Accomodation's not yet confirmed, but will be soon hopefully. My telephone interview with them went ok. -I'm not even sure if the Australian government will allow me to switch unis. Apparantly there's this rule about sticking with your original education provider for the first 12 months. Why don't these people work weekends??Argh now I've gotta wait until monday to confirm if I can even go to UNSW. Yeah so as you can see, everything's on hold. I just hope I can get everything done in time for next weekend. Oh well, a lot can happen in one week. A week ago, everything was settled & I was all ready to go off to tasmania. Now I've got UNSW on the brain and all the stuff I've yet to do is hanging uncomfortably over my head. I am still excited about Sydney of course. I've heard numerous accounts and stories over the last 2 days from people who've been there. One friend told me how she got pickpocketed. She slipped on a puddle of detergent that "happened" to be in the middle of the pavement. A couple of guys came to her "aid", then made off with her purse. She told me how she saw druggies getting high in trains. Pips says to carry pepper-spray at all times. If all else fails, just kick the guy in the groin. Anne told me how an aboriginal came up to her and started pestering her for money. She told me how she was eating in a chinese restuarant with friends when the manager suddenly dead-bolted the front door cos of a gang fight occuring right outside. Haha I was kind of freaked after listening to this. Bottom line: Go out in big groups, try not to stay out too late after dark, and always keep pepper-spray on hand at all times. Haha but my friend assured me it wasn't as bad as they made it out to sound. But that its just better to be aware of all these possible happenings than to be blur. On the bright side, I finished typing up the guestlist for the wedding!Yay. 552 guests. I realise there are politics involved even in planning weddings. You have to know who to seat with whom, whether so-and-so would be comfortable at a table with so-and-so. Yawn. I just got back from the airport. Have a safe trip chengyee!!!You'll be greatly missed:) It was great seeing a nice bunch of so3L people at the airport tonight. Joined pips, michelle and amelia for dinner at BK after seeing chengyee off. It felt great just sitting there talking and laughing. I miss the RJ days of talking crap in the RJ canteen during breaks. I miss amelia's and michelle's silly lame jokes. Phinpeng's loud ramblings. Chengyee's drawings on my notes. Wayne's naughty ways. Suriya's singing :) 8 days to departure day. Hopefully. If there are no problems with my student visa. pips: Thanks!!:)I had a good time tonight!:)Remember to get your essays done!!!!*angry look* enping: Thank you!:) nicole: Heh thanks dear:) weibin: Yeah thinking about it, I realise life really is very unpredictable. Thats good and bad. Haha but for now I'm just so grateful to God for giving me so much:) cheng: Haha yeah I'll be an hour's plane ride away!!!Hope you have a safe trip dear:) And please just take care:) yahui: Heh yes UNSW is a good uni. But for now I can't thank God enough for giving me this great opportunity:) lynn: Thank you lynn dear!!!:) Yeap people keep warning me to be careful..haha don't worry I'll arm myself with pepper-spray at all times!:) ~me~ at 2:57 AM | ||
